Your stories are yours
Bookie exists to turn your conversations into books. Your stories, recordings, and personal information are private by default and are never sold, shared, or used to train public AI models.
What we collect
- Account information: your name and email address, used to identify your account and communicate with you.
- Voice recordings and transcripts: the conversations you have with Bookie, used exclusively to produce your book.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Usage data: anonymous analytics (via PostHog) to improve the product. No personal story content is included.
How we use it
Your content is used solely to create your book. It is not used to train AI models, shared with third parties (except Stripe for payment), or made accessible to anyone you have not invited.
Who can see your book
Only you and the people you explicitly invite. Your book is private by default.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request complete deletion of all your data — stories, recordings, and account — at any time by contacting hello@bookie.press. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Copyright
You own your book. Bookie claims no rights to your content. You are free to print, share, publish, or sell your book.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to the minimum necessary to operate the service.
